Your valued letter from September 9 reached us in due time and we like to hear what you tell us about Carl August Stephan.

The sent personal belongings of reverend G. Lenigk arrived here not until the 24th of this month and according to the instructions we sent the same to Thiele Seiler & Co. in New Orleans for reforwarding to Heinicke & Estel in St. Louis. The expenses for this stated below, for freight, cartage and wharf dues add up to $4.75 in gold, which you kindly would post to Mr. Robert Leisewitz in Brenham for the invoice beow.

New Orleans zur Weiterbeförderung an d. H. Heinicke & Estel in St. Louis abgesandt, u. s. Speesen darauf für Fracht, Fuhrlohn & Wherftgebühren betragen $4,75 Gold die Sie gefällig dem H. Robert Leisewitz in Brenham für u. s. Rechnung zustellen wollen.
