Wehrsdorf by Bautzen, village, left side of the Spree river; Saxony, county seat and government district office is in Bautzen, lower district court is in Schirgiswalde; 2351 residents in 1910; post office with telegraph and telephone, bus stop 4 km at the passenger and freight train station in Sohland; 7 km is the passenger and freight train station in Oberneukirch; civil registration office, Lutheran parish church; electricity; savings bank; weaving mill, metal and tin works, clothing, granite quarry. – Including a group of houses called New Settlement (Neuer Anbau); a mill called Lower Mill (Niedermuehle).
