Know all men by these presents, that the Reverend Johann Kilian, now in Bastrop Co., Texas, is a regularly ordained minister of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and other States, and therefore authorized to perform all ministerial acts.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of said Synod in the City of St Louis, Mo., this nineth (sic) day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Fifty five.
