Lausche (791 m. above sea level) in the Lusatian Mountains, not far from the Czech border; Saxony, county office is in Bautzen, lower district court, bus stop: 4 km train station in Grossschoenau, military district office in Zittau, train station Jonsdorf; 2182 residents, post office and telegraph, civil registration office, border government customs office, Protestant parish church; electric works; savings and loan association; wood pulp factory; fence factory; paper manufacturer; past factory; mill; saw-mill, linen weaver, stone quarry. In addition a tavern “Auf der Lausche Lausitz“(791 m. above sea level), seasonal telegraph and telephone, train station 6 or 5 km; 191 residents in 1910; Saalendorf, train station about 4 km, 82 residents in 1910; Waltersdorf, train station 3 or 5 km, 1909 residents in 1910 (with part of Butterberg); post office is in Grossschoenau, Sachsen, train station 5 or 4 km; Sorge, train station 3.5 or 5.5 km.
