Mission Festival
On October 25th and 26th, 1874, a Mission Festival was held by the St. Peter’s Congregation at Serbin, Texas, in which two neighbor congregations took
part. Pastor Hofius preached in German on the 25th and Pastor Proft in the Wendish language, and the undersigned on the 26th. A special emphasis was
made on the establishing of mission societies, which Texas should keep in mind.
