085.700 Primitive Baptismal Certificate, Marie Urban, [Goeke Archive] 2 Jun 1863

David Goeke bought this certificate at a garage sale (probably 35 years ago) held by a Domann family in Austin, Texas. It is believed to be from a baptism held at the first St Peter, performed by Rev J. G. Lieb, since it is not in Rev. Jan Kilian's handwriting, is not in the St Paul baptismal records, and the Michael Urbans were known to have been among the families to have started the first St Peter Church. We placed it on exhibit here because it is the only known certificate of a baptism at St Peter and it appears to have been handmade.
