Translated by Ed Bernthal

The first time she drove out the swine
She drove the swine to the Lugrehen hill.

They both sat down together there
Sat themselves down to eat their bread.

The youth stood up and rejoiced out loud.
The girl stood up and cried bitterly.

‘Girl, be quiet, don’t cry.
Look, we have a wonderful place to lie down here.’

“Oh, about lying down here I don’t give a s**t.
We have to mind the pigs here.”
