(From: Schoepsdorf)
Translated by Ed Bernthal

Everytime, everytime when I went home
I was always frightened by a bad ghost.

That was really not just a bad ghost
It was surely the curse of my mother.

‘Don’t curse me, don’t curse me, my mother
I slept so little during the night.”

‘I sent my loved one home
And did not speak a word to him.’

“Don’t lie, don’t lie, my daughter
I heard you speak to each other.”

“There in your new room
You promised to be true to each other.”

“There you exchanged rings
And gave your hands to each other.”
