Johann Gruetzner was born December 25 1829 in either Gross Dehsa or Loebau in Saxony (Gross Dehsa being adjacent to Loebau) and died in Fedor, Texas
on August 17 1872 having immigrated to Texas only several months before, arriving in May. His wife was Magdalena Proft, sister of Pastor Johann Proft.
I am seeking any information on the parents of Johann Gruetzner.

In a breakthrough, I have now learned that The father of Johann Gruetzner was Peter Gruetzner of Gross Dehsa. I have also learned that the Wendish
form of the name Gruetzner is Hedusch/Heidusch. Some of the church records actually show the name as Hedusch but with Gruetzner in parentheses.
