In Galveston harbour in Texas they recently caught a so-called ‘devil fish’ with a net. This fish is similar to a great bat, 7 ells long, 8
ells wide and weighs more than 40 hundredweight. Its mouth is 2 ells wide and in the lower jaw there are several rows of spiky
teeth.
